INFORMATION & FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WEDDINGS 

The Greenhouse at Driftwood is a lovely place to say "I do!" We have been named one of The 33 Best Garden Wedding Venues in the World by Harper's Bazaar.

We are able to host weddings small and large, organic and natural to black tie and formal. Please visit our gallery for beautiful examples of how different couples have made the space their own. We will host a limited number of weddings each year. If you are interested in hosting a wedding on the property, please read through our rates and information. SMALL WEDDINGS, ELOPEMENTS, VOW RENEWALS

We love hosting small intimate gatherings during the week and available weekends. Please view our elopement and small wedding information here. To inquire about availability, please email info@thegreenhousedriftwood.com.

CORPORATE RETREATS AND OFF-SITE MEETINGS

The Greenhouse is wonderful for corporate retreats and off-site meetings. We can host groups small and large and offer a great secluded location with comfortable seating options, plenty of room for break-out sessions, and calming outdoor surroundings. PRIVATE PHOTO SHOOTS

The Greenhouse is the perfect place for engagement photos, bridal portraits, maternity sessions, and more. We rent the space for two-hour blocks based on availability. You can view our rates and information here. At this time, we do not offer senior portraits, family sessions, or mini-sessions. 

 

STYLED PHOTO SHOOTS

We love hosting photographers seeking editorial exposure and enjoy participating in styled shoots. Due to high demand, we host a limited number of styled shoots per year. If you have worked with us before, feel free to email us directly. If you have not worked with us before, please see our policies and guidelines here and fill out this questionnaire for consideration. Please note, we do charge a one-time fee of $600 for a six-hour styled shoot. See policies for more information. 

COMMERCIAL SHOOTS, FILM SETS, ETC.

The Greenhouse at Driftwood is a great place for film, television, and commercial work. In addition to the picture perfect Greenhouses, the property consists of native landscaping, open fields, beautiful creeks, scenic views, rock pathways, and more. We have ample parking for buses and crew. Please email Harper Connell to schedule a visit and for more information. 

MAY I COME TOUR THE GREENHOUSE?

At this time, we are meeting with clients by appointment only. Please note, we are a gated property and we are not visible from the road. 

DO YOU ALLOW TENTING?

YES! Our diverse spaces at The Greenhouse at Driftwood can accommodate events of all sizes. All clients hosting events with over 50 guests are required to secure and submit a rain plan consisting of a tent in any one or several of our outdoor areas. We work exclusively with Whim Event Rentals and IndieHouse Events for tenting.

CAN WE GET MARRIED IN THE GREENHOUSE?

The greenhouses are a special part of our venue. We love for people to enjoy them, but please understand the plants are incredibly rare and extremely important to us. The capacity for the desert greenhouse is ten which includes a photographer and officiant, so it works well for elopements or tiny ceremonies. The tropical greenhouse can hold up to 40, but please note the couple and officiant are the only people allowed on the pathway in the actual plants. Please inquire with questions or for clarity.  

CAN WE BRING IN ALCOHOL?
We do allow clients to bring in outside alcohol at The Greenhouse at Driftwood. However, all alcohol must be served by TABC certified bartenders.

DO YOU HAVE SOUND RESTRICTIONS? DO YOU ALLOW FIREWORKS?
Music must end by 9pm Monday through Thursday, 10pm on Fridays, 10:30pm on Saturdays, and 6pm on Sundays. In addition, all entertainment must be approved in advance. All music must be at a decibel level of 80 or lower. In addition, we ask all entertainers to not amplify base. We have never had an issue with this request and the integrity of the sound has never been compromised. 

We do not allow fireworks at The Greenhouse. 

DO YOU HAVE PREFERRED VENDORS?

We do! We are happy to provide our list upon request. While we do not require the use of our preferred vendors, we do highly recommend them as they have worked with the venue and Management before and continuously provide excellent services.

We do require clients use one of our preferred vendors for tenting. All coordinators, caterers, and entertainment not on our preferred vendor list must be approved in writing ahead of time. 

HOW DO I BECOME A PREFERRED VENDOR?

We credit so much of our success to the relationships we have fostered with our preferred vendors. We are happy to refer vendors who have worked on the property and have continuously provided positive and professional experinces. That way, we know we are offering our clients the best through our own experience. If you have worked here before and would like to be added, please feel free to get in touch.

DO YOU HAVE ON SITE PARKING?

The Greenhouse at Driftwood has parking spaces for 120 cars. We highly encourage providing shuttles for guests coming from Austin or San Antonio. For events expecting more than 120 cars, we require shuttles be provided.

CAN WE BRING OUR PETS?

All pets must be approved by The Greenhouse at Driftwood management in advance. Typically, pets are okay to be in your ceremony, but we do ask that all pets be on a leash while on property. In addition, no pets are allowed inside the venue or in either greenhouse. After the ceremony, pets must be either escorted off the property or crated in a comfortable shaded area. 

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to postpone your event for any reason, we will work with you to reschedule the date based on availability. Please understand, we cannot offer refunds for cancelled events.
